Just want to take a step back and share a little about myself today.
For those of you who may not already know, my husband Jeremy and I, are both addicts in recovery. We met in early recovery, and have been clean and sober for going on 6 years now. When we met? Both living in halfway houses and working at the same shitty call center sales job. So we understand coming from pretty much nothing.
In less than a year we were married. We focused on the “big picture” and started by cleaning up our credit. We started small with department store credit cards that we always paid. We upped the strategy to actual bank credit cards, and slowly but surely, within 2 years we had both improved our scores by about 200 points each.
We got our first apartment while still working on all of that. Once our scores were better, our first car. Soon after, a second vehicle so we each had our own. Within a year after that? We bought a home, the first time in either of our lives we had accomplished something like that!
The point is, you really can accomplish your dreams if you focus and work hard. Anything is possible. If we can do it, so can YOU!
